Luau Night
It’s almost summertime! Whenever I think of warmer weather, I think of The Beach Boys. For my Dad’s birthday this year, we surprised him with a Beach Boys luau themed magical moment! I gathered up everything we used to throw this summer luau for you to use as a resource to create this at home. Have fun!

For Decor, we got a few of the things you see below like the luau set, beach balls, sunglasses we already had from a previous party, shells, chalk board signs where we wrote some Beach Boys Lyrics, straw hat for a table centerpiece, some coconut bowl, a few banners, twinkle lights and coconuts and a pineapple from the store. Everyone loved the yellow sunglasses on the pineapple. Super simple, but a huge hit!

Food Ideas
For food, I’m a believer in being compassionate and eating plant based. I however am not perfect and will have shrimp on occasion and my Dad isn’t fully plant based so we made shrimp tacos for his birthday. Wild caught shrimp with Kite Hill sour cream, Siette taco shells, avocado, pico he gallo, lime, and taco sauce.
You can never go wrong with a big organic fruit platter or even a cake made of fruit like the one you see below!

Drink Ideas
We loved Medical Medium’s Cranberry Orange Mimosas! We made a big batch in a glass dispenser with sliced oranges in it and it added a fun touch to the night! You could make some flower ice cubes to make it even more tropical too! Below are some of my favorite ideas.

We had a YouTube video of an old Beach Boys concert on the beach as my Dad walked in. He loved it so much, we ended up watching the whole concert throughout the night. You can also find a luau themed playlist on Spotify, Apple or YouTube. Get creative with it!
