What’s in my Dog Mom Bag?

As a Dog Mom, I love to take my pups with me every chance I get. Luci Joy comes out with me the most because she was trained since she was a puppy to go with me to appointments, in the car, etc, so I’m slowly venturing Riley out more when I can since she’s a bit more scared and needs some training. When I take them with me outside of the house, in the car or on a walk, my purse is full of everything they could need.

Before we get started, I want to thank you for shopping through my affiliated links on this blog. It’s like shopping small through me, so the support means the world! Thank you!

Dog Mom Bag

The bag I use is a limited edition vegan leather bag from Ripley and Rue. They do have a cross body bag now that is adorable and vegan as well. Below I’ll share similar bags to the one I use and love. Things I look for:

  • I prefer vegan material to minimize the suffering in this world. As an animal lover, that’s important to me. Materials to avoid: leather and suede mostly. Materials to look for: Vegan leather, faux leather, faux…

  • Big enough to carry all my dog mom items and personal items like wallet, phone, charger, snacks, etc.

  • Hooks and pockets.

Leash

I always make sure to bring a leash even if we’re just going on a car ride because you never know what may happen. I’m a believer in “It’s better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.”

Biodegradable Poop Bags & Dispenser

I can’t tell you how many times we have been out longer than we expected or forgot the poop bags at home when my pups have gone potty unexpectedly. I don’t want to be that person that doesn’t pick up after their babies so now I have biodegradable poop bags in a dispenser connected to my purse at all times. I finally feel like a responsible Dog Mom. I also love knowing the poop bags we use are better for the environment. When I received the box in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised with how many rolls were in it. I think we’re set for at least a year!

Treats

We love our treats! You can find all our favorite treats on my Fur Baby Favorites here.

Portable Water Bottle

Again, I’m a believer in being prepared. I never want my pups to get dehydrated and often times that is something that can easily slip your mind especially when you’re out of the house, so having a portable water bottle in your purse or in the car is convenient! The one I purchased locks, so it won’t leak and it has made it easy to hydrate my baby on the go.

Seat Belt

After watching a video of what can happen to your dog in an accident, I immediately looked into car safety. I found these seatbelts which I have used for years. I have the single and duel jumpers. It feels good having the peace of mind while riding in the car with my pups.

Anxiety Bed & Blanket

This doesn’t fit in my bag, but on car rides, my dogs tend to get anxious in the car, so I always bring our favorite anxiety bed and a soft blanket to ease their anxiety and offer them comfort.

Extras

I also give my dogs a good quality cbd when they’re extra anxious to help calm their nerves. The one I’m currently using is from The Asher House.

Here are a few extra items I love to bring with me or have my eye on.

That’s all folks.
