Graveyard Halloween Party
Welcome to the Graveyard Halloween Party! Where I share with you all the ideas and items I found to create your own! Thank you for using my blog as a resource! This was a special request, so this won’t be like my normal Magical Moments where I spend months to recreate, take my own photos and throw my own party like my previous Magical Moments like Hocus Pocus Watch Party, 90’s Night Etc. If I find any images from Pinterest as examples, I will link the creator as it’s not my own photos or ideas, but I will write out my own ideas as well! I always incorporate a variety so everyone will find something whether you’re having a big party inviting friends and family over or a small party with just a few people or the people you live with. Make it your own. I hope this helps you to create an amazing Graveyard Party! I am happy to do the research for you so it’s all here in one place! Enjoy!
As always, thank you from the bottom of my heart for buying through my affiliated links as I get tiny commissions for purchases made through some links in this blog at no extra cost to you. So, if you do find something you like, I would be so grateful if you’d get through my link. Thank you for supporting me. It means the world. I hope this can be a resource for you, your friends and family! Let’s begin.
Decoration
Let’s start with decor! Skeletons, Tombstones, and Zombies…oh my! I found a fog machine to create a graveyard like atmosphere inside and outside of the house, indoor and outdoor decor, candles, tombstones, skeletons, zombies, ghosts, coffins, and sooo much more. Find what you like and place them in your front yard to greet guests, all around your home to create the perfect Graveyard atmosphere and in your backyard. I love the thought of guests being greeted by a few tombstones with skeletons then they walk inside to a house full of fog, tombstones and all of the above placed all around the house and then creating a graveyard in the backyard with more tombstones and skeletons. Maybe even centering a game around the backyard like glow in the dark Laser tag or capture the flag or a game of cornhole (all down below) and maybe even a bonfire with some s’mores with Halloween music in the background.
Ideas
I found a set of mini black coffins you can place around the house with mini skeletons to place inside or LED tea lights.
I love the idea of all the lights being off and the whole house being lit by lanterns and candlelight like you are in a real graveyard at night. So I included a bunch of candles, led candles, candle holders, candlesticks, handheld candle holders and lanterns to add that special touch. I even added some nontoxic fall scented candles to get that fall aroma in the house as well! Like mulled cider or the smell of crunchy leaves when you walk through a cemetery.
Costumes
Food and Drinks
My favorite food idea for a graveyard party would be a grazing board otherwise known as a charcuterie board. You can check out My Compassionate Kitchen’s Compassionate Charcuterie Boards to get some inspiration on the foods to use and my Hocus Pocus Chesse and Crust Board that is more Halloween inspired with all the plant based meats and cheeses I used. I love the idea of having boards or trays with skeletons and coffins on the table filled with miyokos cheese wheels, fruit, candy, chips, guacamole, baguettes, crackers, pumpkins, and anything else you think your guests would love.
I love having my vintage popcorn maker at my parties. Drape some cobwebs and twinkle lights around it, pop some popcorn, pour it into popcorn boxes and that makes a fun food station to have.
Cupcakes with tombstone toppers would be a hit.
A bonfire and s’more station in the backyard would also be fun!

Apple Cider Recipe
The best spiced apple cider recipe! Brew a big pot of Apple Cider on the stove for a yummy beverage during your watch party while it fills the whole house with a lovely Autumn aroma. Mmmm.
Spiced Apple Cider by Anthony William
Ingredients:
8 cups apple cider/juice (make or buy organic if possible)
4 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1/3 tsp ground nutmeg
1 star anise
1 inch piece fresh ginger
1 orange, cut into slices
1/4 cup cranberries
Directions:
Simmer the cider, whole cloves, ginger, nutmeg, star anise, and orange slices in a pot for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Strain the cider, top with fresh orange & apple slices & cranberries and serve to enjoy.
Once made, the spiced apple cider can also be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week and served cold, if desired. If you serve it cold, you can add some tombstone ice cubes, black straw and a little green garnish on top! Oh and you can dip the rim of cup in the lemon or lime juice and coat it with some organic sugar or coconut sugar! Yum!
Games and Activities
Guessing Game
The guessing game throughout the house is a really fun activity for your guests! Create different stations and at each station, they place their guesses. Whoever wins each one, gets a prize!
Put a certain amount of fake spiders into a bowl after counting them. Write down the amount so you don’t forget during the party. In a mini frame, write or print out “Guess how many spiders are in the bowl.” I have downloads for those here if you don’t want to make your own.
Place paper and pens in front of the guessing spots for guests to write down their guesses with their NAME on it and put in another bowl next to the guessing bowl. Do the same thing throughout the house with different guessing stations. By the popcorn station, do a bowl with popcorn kernels. In another area, do a bowl with candy. All those downloads can be found above. Buy some gift cards or gifts for the winners. At the end of the night, have someone look through the guesses, announce the winners and give them their gifts! We did this at my Nana’s Birthday and everyone loved it! Be sure to let them know to put their names on it!
Prizes and Raffle
Honestly, any of the items on this blog would be a good prizes for the guessing game winners like the games, mugs, skull chalice, custom headstones, etc.
Another idea people love is having a rafffle at the end of the night. Give you guests tickets upon arrival and have them write their name on the back placing it inside of a bowl or hat and at the end of the night pull a ticket. Whoever wins gets a gift basket with any of the prizes have below or any of the items on the blog. This is still really fun to do if it’s just the people you live with too.

Party Favors
Send your guests home with some goodies!
Fill bags with some of the items you already saw on the blog above.
One thing that I am doing for my Hocus Pocus watch party is taking Polaroids with my Polaroid camera and gifting my friends and family with a Polaroid frame magnet in their bag so they can put one of the Polaroids that we took during the party into that magnet and put it on their fridge so they can have that memory forever.
Fill mini coffin boxes with some candy corn, candy or popcorn.
You could even make some homemade treats like rice crispies or homemade brownies. I’ll also link some yummy cookies we love.
Tie it with some twine and a gift tag!
