Titanic Night
Are you or someone you love a fan of Titanic? Titanic Night is the perfect Magical Moment to create at home.
Place your table in front of your couch so you can enjoy a Titanic Style dinner and watch the movie dressed up like you’re on the RMS Titanic itself. I have a video example of this on my instagram! Watch the video here.
Below is everything you will need to create this magical moment. You don’t have to get everything if you’re on a budget. Or if you want to go all out and get items like the vintage table lamps and the chandelier, it’s all up to you!
When we did this for my Mom’s birthday, we had so much fun. We made items off the titanic menu like the potatoes, bought my Mom her favorite dress and the heart of the ocean necklace, my Dad was the captain, and we added some humor with my Brother in a blow up Tux doing a performance in the middle of the movie during the dancing scene below deck! It was so much fun and my Mom smiled the whole night.
Tips for making it a successful night.
If you want it to be a surprise, you can either wait when the person is out of the house OR you can do what we did where we told My Mom we had a surprise for her and she would have to wait in her room for a bit to await further instruction.
When we are finished setting up, I knocked on her door, surprised her with her outfit, helped her get ready…
While the guys warmed up the food we made the night before so it was nice and hot when she entered.
Get some red roses and cut them down to put one on each place setting to add that special Rose symbolism.
In the memorabilia pack we received a Boarding Pass which I presented to her as well which she gave to the “captain” when she “boarded”.
If you have a smart TV you can also find an image of the Titanic Staircase and mirror the image onto the TV from your phone or computer.
If you have more that 4-5 people and can’t fit everyone on a couch, you can get more tables and chairs and place them off to the sides of the couch.
I also made a TITANIC PLAYLIST if you were planning on playing the game below, mingling a bit before dinner is served should you choose to serve dinner after they are seated, or listen to music while you eat and then play the movie. We treated it like a dinner theatre where we started the movie after everyone started to eat.
You can also have pjs available should your person and anyone else like to have an intermission and change into something more comfy.
Sharing this Magical Moment together is the greatest gift. The gift of memories will last a lifetime!
