Organic Compassionate Hot Chocolate!

This is my Hot Chocolate Recipe! It’s super simple. It is all about the quality and brand of chocolate you use, in my opinion. This is by far the BEST plant based, clean chocolate bar I have experimented with that makes THE most delicious hot chocolate! Like that gourmet kind, you can never go back to the packet kind that is full of junk anyway! It was actually a happy accident when we came up with this. The happiest accident for all! Yay!

As Peter Pan would say…“Come on everybody! Here we goooo”:

  • On medium heat, melt a whole bar of chocolate in a pot with a splash of the plant based milk you’ll be using. Continuously stir so the chocolate doesn’t stick or burn. ( We use either Simply unsweetened almond milk or Elmhurst Unsweetened Milked Almonds)

  • Add 20-28oz of milk depending on how chocolaty you like it.

  • Let it slightly simmer a bit (3-5 mins) to let it get a little frothy. Turn heat down a little if it starts to boil.

  • Stir and serve.

  • Top with a cinnamon stick and vegan mini marshmallows!

  • If you want to get extra fancy, you can sprinkle some cinnamon on top of the marshmallows and add a little star anise on top as well.

  • Ooooo AND a candy cane to stir it if you’d like! These are the candy canes we use. (If these won’t get to you in time, hopefully you can find them at your local health food store.)

—Serves two, so just double or triple the recipe if there are more people.

You can find the chocolate, marshmallows, cinnamon sticks and the glass/lead free mugs we just ordered HERE or below.

Enjoy! Please share and tag me on Instagram @misschelseadiane if you make it! I would love to see how it comes out and what you think!

P.S. I want to also thank you. When you shop through my links, I get a tiny commission at no cost to you, so it’s like you’re shopping small through me and the support means the world to me.
